Mission & Vision

DOW is focused on building strong relationships with refugee families. Over 35,000 refugees live in the Vickery Meadow area. God has placed Disciples of the Way here in order to reach out with His great love to people from all nations.

Our programs provide God-given opportunities to demonstrate Christ’s love and witness; not only with our mouths, but also through our actions and our lives.

Our hope is that, through continuing witness, many will be baptized into the family of God.

Disciples of the Way Ministries’ Mission Statement is:

“Reaching, Teaching, Living, and Working with people of all nations to make Disciples of the Cross from all nations.”

Our mission and all our ministries are based in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Vision Statement for Disciples of the Way Ministries comes directly from God’s vision for His church.

We seek to see God’s vision on earth as it is in heaven.

After this I looked
and there before me was a great multitude
that no one could count
from every nation, tribe, people and language,
standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb…”
– Revelation 7:9-10

We share God’s Word because it is for all (Phil. 2:6).

We build relationships and are ready to speak the hope that is within us (1 Pet. 3:15).

We answer questions and use every opportunity to share what we have seen and heard (1 Jn. 1:3). Once we were in darkness, but now we are a people of light (1 Pet. 2:9).

We shine for Christ, the Light of the World (John 1:9).   “….I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.”
