Board of Directors for Disciples of the Way, a ministry of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod

Mission & Vision

MISSION STATEMENT:

“Reaching, Teaching and Living among our Muslim neighbors and making disciples of the Cross from All Nations”

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2Timothy 2:2

Disciples of the Way Ministries Vision Statement:

The vision Statement for Disciples of the Way Ministries comes directly from God’s vision for His church on earth as it is in heaven.

It is summarized in Revelation 7:9-10 “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb…”

We share God’s Word because it is for all (Phil 2:6). We build relationships and are ready to speak the hope that is within us (1Pet 3:15). We answer questions and use every opportunity to share what we have seen and heard (1Jn1:3). Once we were in darkness, but now we are a people of light (1Pet 2:9). We want to shine for Christ, the Light of the World (John 1:9).   “….I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest”.

2Timothy 2:2

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb . . .And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”
